Seeing Before You Type (20 March 2009)

A person once recommended that basketball players "practice" freethrows in their minds, that they see themselves making perfect freethrow shots each time. This, as I remember it, noticeably improved their accuracy during games. Try this same technique when you type. In the split second before you type a word or group of words or even parts of long words (syllables), see the required finger motions. Think of this as turning a light on in your head; instead of feeling your way in the dark, you "see where your fingers are to go." I believe you will see an immediate improvement in your typing.
